FAQ's  (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. Q: What's the most inexpensive yet secure way to ship a package?
   A: We always recommend trackable shipping such as FX or UPS.  Sending to a business/commercial address costs less than sending to a residence.  Keep you package as small and light as possible.
2. Q: Why does it cost so much to pack an item?
   A: All shippers require an item to be packed appropriately for the rigors of shipping.  Should the item be damaged during transit, claims are paid on the basis whether or not the item was packed according to shipper standards.  We, at Total Office Services pack each item as if it were our own.  We believe that if you're going through the cost of shipping an item, it has value worth protecting.  So we'll pack it right the FIRST time.
3. Q: Will FX or UPS just leave the package on the doorstep?
   A: The default delivery to a residence is to leave the package without securing a signature - however this can be at the driver's discretion.  You can always elect to collect a signature for a small fee.  This is recommended for items of value, apartments, etc.  If no one is available to give a signature, the driver will leave a note and try again the next delivery day.  The default for a business address is to always collect a signature.
4. Q: How much declared value should I give an item?
   A: The best answer is whatever value you think you can prove with receipts and other documentation.  Some items cannot be valued conventionally (i.e. artwork, family heirlooms, some jewelry, etc). 
5. Q: Do you offer crating service?
   A: YES!  Some items must be crated in order to ship them.  We can build your crate and ship it freight!
6. Q: Do you ship furniture?  How about a car?
   A: Yes we can.  Call us for details.
7. Q: Are some items not shippable?
   A: Yes.  We cannot ship hazardous materials.  We don't ship items that contain or did contain flammable liquids.  Some items are too delicate or too valuable for conventional packing and shipping (i.e. flat screen tvs).  There are restrictions on shipping many items.  Please call us for details.
8. Q: Can you ship to a PO Box?
   A: Yes.  However we must use the postal service to ship to a PO Box.  Fedex & UPS require a street address to ship.
9. Q: I have an APO (military) address.  Can you ship to this address?
   A: Yes.  These items are shipped via the postal servcie to a domestic address/military installation.  From there, the military will transport the package to it's ultimate destination.

Tips for submitting digial files for printing:

1. Please submit your digital files for printing on a cdrom, USB drive or via email.
2. The following file formats are readily acceptable:  JPEG, TIFF, PDF, Microsoft Office formats and most Adobe formats.
   Other formats may also be accepted.  Call for details.
3. The quality and size of the digital file dictates the quality of the print.  However, we have been able to enlarge and print files of various size and quality with excellent results. 
4. Images and documents up to 11"x17" are printed on one machine and generally cost less than larger prints.  
   Posters and larger documents/images are printed on a different machine and subsequently cost more. 
5. WE CAN PRINT SNAP SHOTS TOO!  We can enlarge your old family portraits, photos, snap shots too.  We can even fix some stains, marks, rips & tears.
6. A poster collage makes and excellent gift.  Bring in your photos and images.  We'll put together a poster collage with text and well wishes.  Great for birthdays, graduations, new babies, and more.
7. LOW COST BUSINESS AD POSTERS!  Ask about our low cost, disposable ad posters.  Great for quick changes, short time usage and the like.
